The Beavers & Ducks Men's Golf Teams Wrapped Up The Tindall on Tuesday

Beaver Collin Hodgkinson shot a 61, -10 under on Monday breaking an OSU record

SAMMAMISH, Washington - Collin Hodgkinson was on fire on Monday at the Aldarra Golf Club.

Hodgkinson set the Oregon State men's golf single-round record with a 10-under 61 to open the Tindall at the par-71 Aldarra.

Originally from Beaverton, Hodgkinson went to Mountainside High School but on Monday he had 8 birdies and one eagle to set the OSU record.

The 54-hole tournament which wrapped up Tuesday saw the Beavers take 8th place.

Hodgkinson led the Beavers with a 2-under 69 on Tuesday. Following his record-breaking day on Monday, he birdied seven more holes in round three to end the trip with a 7-under 206, tying him for sixth, four strokes off the lead. He led the event with 20 birdies overall.

Rylan Johnson had his best round of the event, posting a 1-under 70 to finish at par over the 54 holes. He tallied 11 birdies with five coming Tuesday.

Johnson finished tied for 28th, just ahead of teammate Brandon Eyre a senior (West Salem HS), who was two strokes behind. Eyre, who tied for 34th posted an eagle at the par-5 seventh hole.

For the Ducks, Greyson Leach, Jay Gould-Healy and Aiden Krafft all placed in the top 25 after the final 18 holes of play at The Tindall on Tuesday.

Leach and Krafft both shot an even-par 71 to finish T19 and T25, respectively, while Gould-Healy put together his best round of the season, wrapping play with a 3-under 68 to finish T23.

The Ducks shot 2-over as a team on the day to move up one spot on the leaderboard, finishing 11th with a 9-over 861. Utah finished atop the field at 33-under, followed by Pepperdine (-19) and South Carolina (-17), while UCLA’s Pablo Ereno and Utah’s Davis Johnson tied for the individual title at 11-under.

Eric Doyle finished in a tie for 34 after finishing the tournament +2 (215).

The Ducks will head to Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday, Sept. 30, for the first day of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational. One of the deepest fields in collegiate golf, UO will compete against 12 teams ranked in the top 25 of the latest coaches poll and three of the top four teams.

The Beavers are hosting the Oregon State Invitational on October 7 and 8 at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, Oregon.
